Teams of 4, 100km, 48 Hours - An ultra adventure, a grind, a life-changing experience
Oxfam Trailwalker, Oxfam’s biggest annual global fundraiser, was introduced in India in 2012, in the city of Bengaluru. After the success of the first edition, Oxfam India introduced another Trailwalker in Mumbai in 2013. Since then, both these events have been followed by progressively successful editions with consistent increase in participation each year.
Hundreds Walk for Equality - To the Moon and Back
Since 2012, over 2300 teams have walked for equality, and displayed fierce commitment to bringing about real change by pushing themselves in this ultimate team challenge. And a fun fact? We have been to the moon and back, literally. 7,70,000+ kilometres walked and counting.
Each team raised funds to be used for serving the interests of some of India’s poorest and most marginalised communities, to help them lead dignified lives.
The next Oxfam Trailwalker editions are scheduled from 13-15 December 2019 in (Mumbai) and 7-9 February 2020 in (Bengaluru). In addition to the 100km-in-48 hour challenge, the teams have an option to participate in the 50km-in-24 hour Trailwalker format.
You are one step away from joining this extraordinary journey of grit and determination. Register your team and embark on this journey of change. As you walk with your team, over the course of the 100km trail (or 50km), you learn, discover and rediscover yourself and your team. The journey will be tough - Trailwalker has it's roots dating back to the year 1981 when Brigadier Mervyn Lee designed a team training regime for the legendary Queen's Gurkha Signals in Hong Kong - and weather will make it tougher.
Are you willing to take up this challenge? All you need is to:
- Form a team of 4 with your friends, family or colleagues.
- Train together in the run up to the event, and prepare for this exceptional experience. You are most welcome to join our regular training sessions - Check updated schedule here.
- Raise funds to empower and uplift lakhs of people across the 6 poorest states of India, and play your part in ending inequality!
