Teams of 4 walk 100kms within 48 hours across some of the most picturesque, and challenging trails, while raising funds to help Oxfam in the fight against inequality. Sounds fun? It is fun, and much more!
The fact that Oxfam Trailwalker has its roots dating back to 1981 when Brigadier Mervyn Lee designed a team training regimen for the legendary Queen's Gurkha Signals in Hong Kong, is proof enough to the toughness of the event.
Oxfam Trailwalker is touted as the Ultimate Team Challenge and India’s Biggest Walkathon for a Cause for a variety of reasons. “Why take this challenge?”, you ask. Here’s why:
- Over the course of the 48-hour/ 24-hour trail walk, you will push your mental, emotional and physical limits. This experience is a roller coaster like none other!
- Being a team challenge it further tests your team skills - you cannot complete the Trailwalker alone - you will train with your team months in advance, along the way you will discover their strengths and weaknesses, and complete the challenge with them.
- You will help a kid get enrolled into school, you will help a girl from dropping out of the education system, you will help a woman stand against abuse and become independent, and you will help a forest dweller undertake sustainable livelihoods - you will bring real change!
All the funds raised will help transform the lives of those in need.
It is tough, but the experience will be worth it! Don’t think twice, take the plunge, register now.
