Dream come true

by: kahebbar

I have been wanting to do this trailwalk for over 3 years now. Everytime I tried, I had to give up as I could not find three more members confident enough to walk 100 km. This time, I had been to a trek to Ruinsara lake in October with one of my Facebook friends Priyanka who is also doing this walk. We talked abut our desire to do the walk and she promised to find a team where we could fit in. She is a swimming coach and an avid trekker and was sure of finding more members. In the meantime, my good friend and relative Tilak Rao , an ex-Naval officer who lives in Bengaluru got co-opted into my plans. So when Priyanka came back with two more members, it was difficult to join that team as we were five members now! I then decided to form my own team and requested her to scout for potential members. She then suggested Monisha Charles as a possible candidate. I quickly got in touch and she in turn suggested Henna Kalro who too was willing and so we had a team. I live in Mumai and the other three in Bengaluru and I will probably meet Monisha and Henna only on the day of the walk. Our communication though is perfect and spirits very high and we are there to enjoy the walk. We have named ourselves the 'Power Walkers'.
